There will be a special board meeting taking place on June 30, 2026 at 6 PM . in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Sunrise Education Centre at 344 Second Street North in Beausejour.

SMS Students participate in Wave of Light performance at the Legislative Grounds:
Students from SMS were proud participants in the province-wide Wave of Light performance at the Legislative Grounds—an inspiring, large-scale musical collaboration in support of the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. It was a truly meaningful experience for our students, bringing together music, community, and a shared sense of purpose.
Doreen Bowers was recognized at this annual reception - she was selected by Abigail Gooch who is in the Faculty of Kineslogy and recreational management . The Students’ Teacher Recognition Reception (STRR) is an opportunity to celebrate teaching excellence. Recognizing that academic growth and development occurs over many years, each faculty nominates an outstanding graduating student, who then selects two teachers who have made important contributions to their education – one from Kindergarten to Grade 12 years and one from their years at the University of Manitoba.
Ukrainian language teachers from across the province gathered in Cooks Creek, for a day of collaboration and learning.
SCI Jazz band opening up the University of Regina Jazz Concert night.
This dedicated group of students meets after school with SCI teacher Jeremy Toews to develop real-world business skills. Throughout the year, they collaborate to create a full business model, from product design and production to marketing and sales. Thanks to SCI teacher David MacLean and SCI parent Cindy Desrosiers who also help with this group.
Their most recent sales event over the weekend at Kildonan Place was a tremendous success, showcasing both their hard work and entrepreneurial spirit.
