LdBSS Students Organize Climate Strike

Over 7.6 million people have participated in the global climate strike world-wide.  Lac du Bonnet Senior School students added their voices to this issue on Friday, September 27th, 2019.

Students created signs and organized a walk through the town of Lac du Bonnet.  Their goal was to create awareness and encourage discussion among community members.  Students are concerned about climate change and the impact it could have on their futures.

A group of high school students decided to do something more than just talk about issues our planet is facing.  They took the time to do the research and share their findings with peers.  They came up with a plan of what action they could take that would be effective in sharing their concerns with the adults in the community.  They then put their plan into action inviting those who wanted to, to join them.
