Honour Roll Requirements

Honour Roll

 

All courses taken during the year at Springfield Collegiate will be considered for calculation of Honour Roll Standing. These calculations will take place at the end of each school year.

Grade 9

Students must achieve an average of 80% or higher in all courses taken during the year with no mark lower than 65%. Students must take a minimum of 9 courses.

Your grade average will be calculated based upon the courses that you have taken in that specific year only.

 

Grade 10

Students must achieve an average of 80% or higher in all courses taken during the year with no mark lower than 65%. Students must take a minimum of 8 courses.

Your grade average will be calculated based upon the courses that you have taken in that specific year only.

 

Grade 11

Students must achieve an average of 80% or higher and must take at least 6 courses during the year with no mark lower than 65%.

Your grade average will be calculated based upon the courses that you have taken in that specific year only.

Grade 12

Students must achieve an average of 80% or higher on all courses taken in their graduating year, with a minimum of four (4) courses being at the Grade 12 level, with no mark lower than 65%. (Note: Phys. Ed does not count as one of the eligible courses). A maximum of two (2) Apprenticeship credits can be applied.

Your grade average will be calculated based upon the courses that you have taken in that specific year only.


Honour Roll with Distinction Status

A student who has an overall average of 90% with no mark lower than 80% shall be granted Honour Roll with Distinction Status.

Please Note:

  1. Courses that do not result in a final mark (percentage) on an SCI transcript such as physical education, private music options and special language option will not be used in the calculation of Honour Roll Status.
  2. Any failed courses will make the student ineligible for Honour Roll Status in that year.
