From May 2004 through May 2005, a  detailed and consultative process involving students, staff, parents, members of the community, and alumni was utilized to illuminate the core values and aspirations of the Sunrise School Division community. Further, between September 2004 and July 2005, the Board of the Sunrise School Division worked to develop their 'ends' policies: Policy E1 and E2 respectfully, which represent the vision of the division. 

This vision for the division is further supported by a Vision Framework.  The framework summarizes the key values of the Sunrise team, as well as descriptors of the future reality.  As well, it includes a Purpose Statement which succinctly describes what staff will do to make the vision a reality. 

It is the intention of the Board and staff of the Sunrise School Division that  the Vision, the Purpose , and the Vision Framework are used throughout the Division on a daily basis to inform all decisions and practices.  We realize that this is often difficult to do, however, we also realize that it is only through such a purposeful focus that we can truly meet the needs of our learners.
