Music – Senior 1 to Senior 4

Orchestra 10G
Students have the opportunity to continue learning music in a full orchestra capacity.  New students are welcome without prior orchestral instrument experience.  However, reading musical notation and previous instrument experience is a prerequisite (guitar, piano).  Students are expected to attend all concerts and performances throughout the year.  This course is timetabled every second day all year for credit.

 

Orchestra 20G
Students have the opportunity to continue learning music in a full orchestra capacity.  Students explore all facets of orchestral repertiore and relevant history, theory, and performance practices.  Students are expected to attend all concerts and performances throughout the year.  This course is timetabled every second day all year for credit.  Prerequisite:  Orchestra 10G or equivalent.

 

Orchestra 30S
Students have the opportunity to continue learning music in a full orchestra capacity.  Students explore all facets of orchestral repertiore and relevant history, theory, and performance practices.  Students are expected to attend all concerts and performances throughout the year.  This course is timetabled every second day all year for credit.  Prerequisite:  Orchestra 20G or equivalent.

 

Orchestra 40S
Students have the opportunity to continue learning music in a full orchestra capacity.  Students explore all facets of orchestral repertoire and relevant history, theory, and performance practices.   Students are expected to attend all concerts and performances throughout the year.  This course is timetabled every second day all year for credit.  Prerequisite:  Orchestra 30S.
