Sunrise Students Compete at French Provincial Concours d’Art Oratoire

Participants in the provincial concours first compete at the school and divisional level. Winners advance and compete against other schools at the provincial finals. This year’s finals saw a record number of participants (160).

Congratulations to the following Sunrise School Division students who participated:
  • Harvey Adigue from Whitemouth School represented Sunrise School Division in the French: Communication and Culture – Grade 5/6 category.
  • Gabi Haskins from École Beauséjour Early Years School represented Sunrise in the Early Immersion Grade 3/4 category.
  • Kélia Haskins, Mackenzie Geith and Mason Cameron from École Edward Schreyer School represented Sunrise in the Early Immersion Grade 5/6, 7/8 and 9/10 categories.
Speeches are original works prepared by students. Three impartial judges evaluate each speech and assign marks for presentation, vocal expression, coherence of speech, quality of language and in grades 9 – 12, quality of answers to questions by the judges.
