​The teaching of basic French using AIM has been piloted at Whitemouth School for three years now. It has been used in grades 1 through to 8. Students in the program have enjoyed learning an additional language using sign language, songs and drama. Their progress with regards to fluency levels has been amazing. The program appeals to all types of learners and although it requires a commitment towards preparation initially for the teacher, seeing how quickly students start using their skills, is reward enough. Students become more motivated to learn as they pick up vocabulary and grammar skills in a natural way.
