As a school division, we work to "Provide Quality Learning Opportunities, Each and Every Day." To accomplish this on a daily basis, we need to provide quality supports to all members of the Sunrise team so they can be at their very best. As a department, our main functions are to:
ü Ensure the selection of the best possible candidates for
positions.
ü Support the on-going development of existing team
members.
ü Ensure that we systemically comply with all governing
collective agreements and continually explore
and implement 'best practices' as we work to benefit
learners.
This will include:
- Forecasting human resource requirements;
- Reviewing and developing exemplary hiring practices;
- Reviewing and evaluating staffing allocations and procedures;
- Coordinating the posting process;
- Providing professional development for new employees and developing leaders;
- Providing leadership, developing board/management polices and practices related to management;
- Ensuring compliance with the Manitoba School Act, Labor Law, and appropriate Collective Agreements
